Once Upon a Time.... : The dreaded wait!!!

Hi There!

Hi everyone! I would like to start out but introducing myself and my family. My name is Amie Robertson. I will be 25 this year in October. I've been married for a little 3 years to my wonderful husband, Christopher. He is awfully amazing although he can drive me bonkers every now and then. We have a black lab name Daisy; she will be 3 in October and she drives us bonkers on the daily bases! But we love her! And last but certainly not least, Lucas Jeremy, born July 1, 2010 at 2013 hours weighing in at 6lbs 8oz and 21 3/4in long... Hard to believe he is almost 10 months old. We are in the Navy... I say, we. My husband is in the Navy. FC2 Christopher Robertson, but my whole family has a commitment to the Navy. Like it or not for the past 6 years I've gone through the awkward just starting to date and having to say good byes and the falling for him but him needing more time... To the giving up and letting go because I didn't know what I was waiting for. We've gone through 2 deployments to Iraq... First was on the ship and second was on an IA with the Army in Baghdad. April 23, 2010, Christopher left for a 6 month deployment when I was 7 months pregnant. I had Lucas in our hometown while staying with my parents. Christopher got to see Lucas on the webcam the day after he was born while he was in port in France. Having Lucas with out Christopher was one of the hardest things I have ever went through in my whole life. I'm so glad that is over and we have journeyed to San Antonio, Tx, where we are stationed Lackland AFB... It's very different and I've never been this far for this long from my family and friends. See we were station in Jacksonville Fl. Mayport was only 3 hours from Melbourne Fl, our hometown...
